Partner video

Private companies start new partnerships with countries in Africa

This video focuses on the partnership between the Côte d'Ivoire government and sanofi-aventis. It describes the strong contribution the private sector can bring to fighting malaria.

The video shows the importance of different partnerships with the National Malaria Control Programs (NMCP) "as drugs alone are not enough", illustrated in:

- the collaboration between a public and a private organisation developing a new product, ASAQ (a collaboration between sanofi-aventis and DNDi),
- partnership between a public and a private organization providing accesibility to medical care, training for health care workers & support in raising the population's awareness (sanofi-aventis and NMCP)
- the key role of NMCPs as coordinators, leaders, or facilitators in the initiatives to fight malaria in their own endemic countries.
